The Arion Project

A series of illustrations centered around a sci-fi urban fantasy novel.  I created concepts to offer a look-and-feel of the overall world as well as pieces centering around primary characters.

The story takes place in a world where magic and technology developed side by side. However, the magical population was decimated by biological warfare and is forced to live in fear, disguising themselves as normal people.  Arion, a city that had once been a major center of magic and non-magic cooperation and alliance, has become a derelict ghetto where order is barely maintained.

A series of illustrations for the cards of a traditional tarot deck.  Unfinished series of work.

Ninth Hour

A series of concept art for a sci-fi/western video game with a nostalgic-futuristic feel. An arid desert planet has recently been colonized and is in a period similar to the settling of the old west. The game is a FPS, starting out in a run-down town in one of the planet's many deserts. The narrative follows the perspective of a vigilante sniper.

Stirred up by mining efforts near their nests, there has been an outbreak of cave-dwelling aliens from underground hives. They are in the process of overwhelming the human colonists. The game follows the alien uprise, the attempted evacuation of the towns and colonized cities, and eventually the destruction of a central hive. There are opportunities throughout the central plotline to play as different secondary characters to gain access to optional storylines and sub-objectives.
